What do granisetron tablets do?
GRANISETRON (Kytril(R)) helps to relieve nausea and vomiting, especially when associated with the treatment of cancer (chemotherapy).

What should my health care professional know before I take granisetron?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:

• an unusual or allergic reaction to granisetron, ondansetron, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives

How should I take this medicine?
Take granisetron tablets by mouth. Swallow the tablets with a drink of water. Granisetron is given within 60 minutes before chemotherapy. In some cases, a second dose is given about 12 hours after the first dose.

Contact your pediatrician or health care professional regarding the use of this medicine in children. Special care may be needed.

What if I miss a dose?
This does not apply. Granisetron is only given on the day(s) chemotherapy is given.

What other medicines can interact with granisetron?
